GQ Air Strike Resolution Flowchart

 1. Airstrike Arrives In Target Hex

 2. All CAP vs. Escorting fighters

Total AS factors for CAP and escort, and resolve
effects on Aircraft CRT

 3. All surviving CAP vs. Strike aircraft

Total AS factors for CAP and strike, and resolve
effects on Aircraft CRT
Option - resolve CAP attack first, then the strike's response using the surviving number of aircraft.

 4. Allocate strike aircraft to ship targets

Option - strike commanders must allocate aircraft to targets whilst viewing the formation from at least 1 metre distance.

 5. Resolve AA Fire vs. Strike

Use AA factors of all ships within 4" against aircraft attacking each ship. Ships under attack only use their AA strength against aircraft attacking them. 2 fighters can divert the AA fire of a ship

Optional rule: ships under attack can use up to 50% of their AA strength against aircraft attacking friendly ships. For example, the ATLANTA (AA=10) is escorting ENTERPRISE. The carrier is attacked by 5 dive bombers, the cruiser by 2 torpedo bombers. 5 AA points can be used to assist in the defence of ENTERPRISE.
